This message was passed on to us from Cami Carters family. For those in the community that don't know Cami, she has been giving pitching lessons for a few years now. She has been a great teacher to my girls and a great friend to our family. She has recently been on the coaching staff at Copper Hills High School. I know any support from the softball community would be greatly appreciated, and mean a ton to Cami as well as her family.

Dear Friend,
As you well know Cami has been very sick for the past two years with an undiagnosed lung disease. Her respiratory pulmonologist, Dr. James Pearl, feels a Bronchial Thermoplasty would be beneficial to Cami. This procedure cauterizes the lung to open the airways so breathing becomes easier. This is a new procedure, as of yet, it is not covered by insurance. The procedure will cost around $25,000.00. This surgery is potentially life saving in Cami's case.
Our family has begun fundraising for Cami so we can help her get the medical attention needed. We have set up a website where we are accepting donations in her behalf. The website is http://www.giveforward.com/livelungandprosper .
