The Salt Lake Valley Lightning organization will begin its third year of girls accelerated softball in August. Half of the current team is staying in 12U, with the other half is moving up to 14U. So in addition to the 14U team, we are looking to start a 12U team.
For both teams, we are seeking players with a competitive drive and are not satisfied with mediocrity.
For 12U, we are primarily looking for girls with a 2004 birthdays, but will also look at girls with 2005 birthdays. While we have a core group of players returning, we are looking at all positions for 12U, especially pitcher and catcher
For 14U, we are seeking girls with 2002 and 2003 birthdays, and will consider strong 2004s. The major need here is a strong pitcher and solid players with a strong desire and commitment to being the best they can be.
Tryouts for both 12U and 14U will take place July 26 and 28.
