These tryouts are for ages 8U to 18U.
The dates are July 13th-14th for 8U, 10U & 12U from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Eagle Mountain
July 27th-28th for 14U, 16U & 18U from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Eagle Mountain
8U, 10U & 12U groups are designed to be developmental programs. Coaches will be parent volunteers. Parent volunteer coaches will receive training from Esprit professional coaches via coaches clinics and reoccurring training seminars. The goal for these groups is to prepare for high level competition at the 14U level.
14U, while still developmental, will have the addition of grooming the athletes as student athletes. This age group is intended to play at the highest level possible based on their skill level. They will travel out of state approximately for two, possibly three tournaments and will begin their exposure to the college recruiting process while continuing to develop Esprit’s culture. More advanced play styles will be introduced in this age group.
16U and 18U is be the organization’s flagship teams. This age group will be mentored to build upon the student first mindset. Expect to travel out of state a minimum of 5 times with the possibility of more depending on which athletes still need to be recruited for college. The goal is to play at the highest level nationally while continuing to sharpen their skills on the field.
14U, 16U, and 18U will all have professional, non-parent coaches who are experienced in developing advanced athletes and who are familiar with the college recruiting process.
The Esprit organization was founded in 1982 in the St. Louis/Southern Illinois Fastpitch Mecca. The club boasts 6 National Championships which is more than any organization in the Midwest. The club also 31 National Championship appearances. The Organization has assisted hundred of student athletes achieve their dream of playing the sport they love in college while gaining their education.
