    1 Registration

    By following the link to the forum, you will be able to create a new username. After registration you will receive a confirmation e-mail, which you must accept before being able to post on our forum. The username you want to register should be indicative of your organization or self. Inappropriate usernames or those resembling softballutah.com, our admins and moderators will not be tolerated and will be removed. 2 General Forum Rules

    Violation of any of the following General Forum rules will result in a preliminary warning. If violations continue, the forum user will be banned for one week with a note explaining the reason for the ban. If violations continue, the user will suffer a permanent ban. Additionally, if necessary, a Forum Moderator or Administrator may delete or edit posts or signatures at will and without warning.

    Forums are not static entities. As need arises, these rules may be altered or added to. Exemptions to any of these rules may be granted by forum moderators.

    Note: While called the "forum rules", they also applies to other official SoftballUtah websites.

    2.1 General conduct
    1. Be civil.
    2. Polite language is required.
    3. Respect the efforts of the forum moderators and those answering questions or writing guides. They are working for free in a fairly thankless job.
    4. Make an effort to read any sticky threads in the forum you're posting in, along with FAQs.
    5. Be patient. Our user base is global and there are many more forum users asking questions than writing answers. Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping your own post unless you have new information to add.
    2.2 Posting
    1. No irrelevant topics; only softball-related postings
    2. One topic per thread for ease of management.
    3. Post in the appropriate section.
    4. No trolling or disruptive behavior.
    5. No self-promotion or affiliate links.
    6. Avoid short, useless posting with 5 words or less.
    7. No use of racist, sexist, homophobic or hateful language.
    8. No politics or religion.
    9. Choose a descriptive thread title. Descriptive thread titles are not only far more likely to be read, but will rank higher in searches and be more helpful to others with the same problem in the future. Use some of the terms you used in your search queries as a base for the thread title.
    10. Be as descriptive and detailed as possible. Assume nothing, there are no mind readers on our website.
    11. No cross-posting. Do not cross-post or double-post.
    12. No linking to or posting pornographic material.
    13. No discussion about illegal activities.
    14. No instigating or discussing malicious attacks on other websites.
    15. No posting any member's real life information without permission.
    16. No impersonating Administrators, Moderators, or forum regulars.
    17. No remaking or complaining about a locked or deleted thread by creating a new thread.
    18. No ALL CAPS posting.
    19. No chasing / harassing / flaming other users, regardless of who instigated it.
    20. No harassing other users by having a continuous negative or bitter attitude towards them.
    21. No insulting or harassing the moderators or administrators.
    2.3 Signatures
    1. Don’t try to draw excessive attention to your signature through use of large characters, unusual fonts, or colors.
    2. Signatures are to be limited to 4 lines of text plus 1 image with a max-height of 40px.
    3. Images and links advertising products that violate SoftballUtah.com's Buy/Sell/Trade policy will be removed.
    4. Forum moderators may, at any time, delete or alter your signature to be less distracting and spammy without warning.

We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this website. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

    Final Thoughts

    We want to keep this Forum clean, and we want to see people engage in intelligent conversation. Use common sense: if you don't have something interesting to discuss, don't post a topic! Remember, these forums are designed to cater to an audience ranging from 13 to 113, please make sure your posts are appropriate.
