Fusion (we practice in Murray but have girls from South Jordon to the Avenues) is holding open tryouts on August 13-14th, 6-8pm, at Taylorsville High for girls born in 95-96.
For the first time, we are making several roster spots available as we prepare to move to 14U in September. We have 2 pitching spots and 3-4 non pitching roster spots for athletic girls that are driven, coachable, and dedicated to improving skills.
We will play fall/spring leagues, 2 St. George fall/spring tournaments, 6 spring/summer tournaments, and a couple friendlies. We are arranging to attend a BYU game this fall to watch hitting practice and meet the team, and we plan to have a couple team clinics with college coaches.
We teach solid mechanics and our girls love their coach Bree. She played for Taylorsville High before pitching, playing 1st, and slap hitting two years at Snow College. She previously helped as an assistant pitching coach at Taylorsville High and currently teaches private pitching lessons. We are working to add assistants with a lot of playing experience to further support her.
We have a solid core group of girls who work with professional-private hitting/position coaches, and we are looking to add to this core. As a result, this is an excellent opportunity to earn a spot on an established team committed to succeeding.
Bob Shober, hitting instructor and BYU assistant hitting coach, will be running our tryouts.
Dates: Thursday and Friday, August 13-14th.
Times: 6-8 pm (pitchers will throw at 5:30pm)
