Utah Liberty (18U) will be holding a tryout on August 18, 2016 (5:00 -7:30 p.m.) and the morning of Saturday August 20, 2016 (9:00-11:30 a.m.). Utah Liberty has been competing between the 16u and 18u age groups for the past few years as a 14u and 16u team with great success. Players are highly encouraged to attend both days of tryouts so coaches can get a good feel for ability and team dynamic/chemistry.
Each year we could be travelling to showcases in Nevada, Texas, Oregon, California, Arizona, and Utah.
Utah Liberty is a highly successful competition team that is focused on trying to get all of our players to college. Our main focuses each year are college showcases and college tournaments keeping our girls in front of the coaches that can help them achieve their long-term goals. One of the pre-requisites for playing with the Utah Liberty team is a solid understanding that hard work is required each practice so that you can become a better player and teammate. We are a highly team oriented group of athletes, coaches, and parents who work hard each day to improve skills and levels of play. Coaches include former college softball players, high school coaches, and college coaches so that players can receive as much insight and skill work as possible. We are looking for well rounded athletes with a strong work ethic to tryout and possibly become a part of a highly successful group of athletes who are earning a lot of attention from potential college coaches.
We do believe in giving back to the community that has supported us through the years so players participate in community service projects each year. Utah Liberty was recognized by ASA Softball (nationally) and Utah ASA as the 2014 and 2015 Bright Light Award winners for our community service efforts. We find a great balance between softball and giving back to the community. Those efforts on and off the field have been recognized by college coaches throughout the United States.
We are based out of South Jordan, Utah and practice in and around that area each week, but we have dedicated players that travel in each week from all over Utah.
